A very special assignment: to portray a Franciscan friar for a dear friend of mine. Joachim came to my studio and although he was a little bit embarrased to pose, he cooperated beautifully. The result was a triptych as shown in the header of this project. It was given to him as a gift for leaving Amsterdam for a monastery in the countryside.
