War veteran Roy and Cordaid helper Anne played decisive roles in helping Afghan interpreters, women and their families to flee to Holland on that horrible day of the Fall of Kabul, August 15, 2021. I've made a five piece portrait series of people who were involved and added a quatrain in Farsi by the famous poet Rumi to all their faces. It reads: 

Love contains the alchemy of the East,
A cloud with a hundred thousand lightning bolts,
In me she is as alive as an ocean
And all existence is drowned in it

I think this poem tells us more than a whole essay could. Let Love show us the way. Always.
